This hand-thrown raku bowl is a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art created to be displayed and enjoyed from every angle. Measuring approximately 9.5 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches tall, its wide, shallow profile works beautifully as a decorative bowl, centerpiece, tabletop accent, or display plate.

Handmade from stoneware clay, the bowl features a dramatic charcoal-black and smoky gray surface accented by irregular areas of warm gold, tan, cream, and silvery gray. The organic markings created during the raku firing process give the surface an almost geological quality—resembling weathered stone, islands, metallic deposits, or an abstract landscape.

The spontaneous nature of raku firing means the patterns, color variations, smoke markings, and surface effects cannot be duplicated. Rather than looking factory-perfect, this piece celebrates the unpredictable character that makes handmade pottery distinctive.
